Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged in a telephone conversation with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Eduardo Gil Pinto to address recent developments following US military actions in Venezuela. Araghchi condemned the US military aggression and the kidnapping of Venezuela’s legitimate president and his spouse, labeling it as state terrorism and an attack on Venezuela’s sovereignty and national will. He emphasized Iran’s support for the Venezuelan people and their elected government.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Venezuelan foreign minister expressed gratitude for Iran’s solidarity. He asserted that Venezuela remains committed to defending its national sovereignty and the right to self-determination in the face of US policies.
