Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has expressed his gratitude for the warm reception provided by Mexico to the Iranian national football team during the 2026 World Cup. He emphasized that the hospitality exemplifies the strong and friendly relations between Iran and Mexico.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi's remarks came during a meeting with Abolfazl Basandideh, the Iranian Ambassador to Mexico. The meeting focused on exploring ways to further develop and expand the bilateral relations between the two nations.
