Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly rejected efforts by the United States and the European Troika-comprising France, Britain, and Germany-to reinstate revoked Security Council resolutions concerning Iran's nuclear program. In a letter addressed to foreign ministers from several countries, Araghchi labeled these efforts as "illegal." According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi's letter emphasized that the allegations put forth by the United States, Britain, France, and Germany are "completely invalid, baseless, and have no legal basis." Araghchi noted that such actions contradict both the letter and spirit of Resolution 2231 and severely undermine the credibility of the Security Council and multilateral diplomacy. Araghchi further pointed out that Resolution 2231 was adopted unanimously, leading to the repeal of all previous Security Council resolutions related to the Iranian nuclear program. The resolution established a specific time frame for the permanent termination of all nuclear-related restrictions set for October 18, 2025. He asserted that no single country or coalition has the right to unilaterally alter or reinterpret the provisions of this resolution.
