Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the positions of Tehran and Washington have become more convergent following the fourth round of indirect negotiations concerning the Iranian nuclear issue. These discussions took place in Muscat on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi stated, “The positions of Iran and the United States have become closer in this round of negotiations.” He elaborated that both parties engaged in detailed discussions, particularly on issues where differences persist between Tehran and Washington.

Araghchi further noted that the discussions allowed both sides to achieve a better understanding of each other’s positions, indicating progress in the negotiations. The talks in Muscat marked the fourth round of dialogue between Tehran and Washington, with Oman acting as the mediator. This session followed a two-week hiatus, the longest pause since the consultations began a month ago.
