Araghchi Stresses Equal Position in Iran-U.S. Nuclear Talks

Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Tehran’s objective in the ongoing negotiations is to achieve an honorable and fair agreement from an equal position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi, speaking at a press conference in Muscat, stated that if the other party, specifically Washington, approaches the negotiations from an equal standpoint, there will be a possibility to reach a mutual understanding that could facilitate the negotiation process.

He further elaborated that the negotiations are set to be indirect and will solely focus on nuclear issues. Araghchi mentioned that most of the basic and fundamental issues would be clarified during these discussions.

The delegations from Iran and the United States, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US envoy Steven Witkoff, convened in the Omani capital, Muscat, on Saturday morning to engage in these indirect talks.
