Araqchi Warns of Potential War if Iran-U.S. Talks Collapse

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi issued a stark warning that “the conflict will extend beyond Iran’s borders and war will be a catastrophe for everyone.” Araqchi emphasized the readiness of Iranian forces to target American bases throughout the region if diplomatic talks with Washington fail.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi conveyed that despite the readiness for military action, he remains optimistic about reaching a potential agreement with the United States concerning Iran’s nuclear program. However, Araqchi expressed a significant loss of trust in Washington as a negotiating partner.

Araqchi highlighted the importance of mediating through friendly countries to exchange messages, which he believes helps facilitate more productive discussions. He also made it clear that negotiations should not include discussions about Iran’s military capabilities, stating that such a topic remains off the table.
