Baghdad: Army Chief of Staff General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah (Special Forces) and his British counterpart, Chief of the Defense Staff Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, discussed today, Monday, the conclusion of the Coalition mission on September 30.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense stated that General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah held a phone call with Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton to address several important issues, including the conclusion of the International Coalition mission scheduled for September 30. The conversation highlighted the strong relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom and explored avenues for further strengthening these ties across various fields.

The statement from the Ministry of Defense also noted that both leaders stressed the importance of ongoing collaboration. This includes sharing expertise and providing advisory support to enhance the capabilities of the Iraqi Army through the NATO mission in Iraq. The aim is to improve joint cooperation and coordination, as well as support initiatives focused on achieving security and stability in the region.
