Doha: Our national team coach, Graham Arnold, stated that the Arab Cup is an opportunity for several players before the World Cup playoff match. At the press conference for the Bahrain match, Arnold added: "First of all, I am happy to be in Qatar. I am primarily responsible for the results, and the Iraqi fans are the team's main supporters." According to National Iraqi News Agency, Arnold explained that this tournament is a good opportunity for us to observe other players in preparation for the World Cup playoff match. He continued: "There are many players who were with me during the qualifiers, and this is their chance to prove themselves and continue with me in the playoff. We received great support from the media and the Iraqi public in the last match, and we want this support in the future as well." He said: "We haven't beaten Bahrain in a long time, and this gives us even more motivation to achieve victory."
