Baghdad: Cultural circles mourned the death of artist Jawad Mohsen, who died yesterday evening, Tuesday, of a heart attack.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the deceased held a diploma in music from the Institute of Musical Studies and a bachelor’s degree from the College of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. He also earned a doctorate from an international university in soundtrack music for Iraqi theater. Mohsen worked with the Iraqi Chanting Troupe from the late 1970s, performing religious, patriotic, emotional, and sports songs until 2025.
