Raqqa: The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in North and East Syria announced on Wednesday the dismantling of networks that were planning terrorist attacks in Raqqa. In a statement, the Asayish said their forces launched a security campaign in Raqqa to pursue wanted individuals on various charges, as part of efforts to enhance security and stability. The operation is being carried out by the Special Operations Forces (H.A.T), with support from the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement noted that the campaign follows previous operations, most notably in southern Hasakah and al-Hol camp, which led to the arrest of ISIS members and the seizure of weapons and ammunition.

The Asayish reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism and organized crime, stressing that the coming days will bring positive outcomes that will contribute to the stability of the region.

Recently, areas in northeastern Syria have witnessed an escalation of ISIS attacks targeting Syrian Democratic Forces and Asayish personnel.
