Baghdad: Asiacell Communications has issued a clarification regarding a video circulating on social media showing a fire near its headquarters in al-Mansour district of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company explained that “the fire did not occur within the company’s premises, but rather in a house located behind the building, which led to the spread of flames and smoke in the surrounding area.”

The statement added that, as a precautionary measure, “the building was temporarily evacuated to ensure safety.” The fire has since been contained without any damage to Asiacell’s headquarters.

The company affirmed that “operations have resumed as normal, and customer services are continuing uninterrupted at the headquarters.”
