Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Farhad Atroshi on Monday extended condolences to the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his purified household, noting that the pilgrimage embodies the highest values of truth, justice, sacrifice, and reform.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Atroshi expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Iraqi people, the Islamic nation, and the religious authorities on the occasion of the anniversary of the Arbaeen of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the grandson of the Great Prophet and Master of the Martyrs of the People of Paradise, and his purified household.

He emphasized that this eternal occasion embodies the highest values of truth, justice, sacrifice, and reform. It serves as a reminder of the necessity of drawing inspiration from the Hussaini lessons and principles to achieve justice, combat corruption, confront injustice, protect human dignity, and work towards building a state of citizenship governed by law, integrity, and service to the public interest.

Atroshi further highlighted the participation of the Peshmerga forces alongside their brothers in the army and security forces in securing the pilgrimage to holy Karbala. This participation and the services provided to the visitors of Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein (PBUH) reflect the finest images of cohesion, unity of ranks, and belonging to the homeland.
