Attackers on Former MP Haider Al-Mulla’s Office Identified and Surrendered

Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command has confirmed that the perpetrators responsible for the attack on the office of former MP Haider Al-Mulla have been identified, pursued, and have surrendered, with legal proceedings set to follow.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command reported that on March 31, 2025, at 21:55, information was received about an attack on Al-Mulla's office located in the Al-Amiriya area on the al-Karkh side of Baghdad. The attack was carried out by individuals in Tahoe vehicles, resulting in the destruction of the office's glass and contents, along with the seizure of the surveillance camera recording device. The assailants then fled the scene.

The command further stated that upon receiving the report, a joint task force composed of local security forces and supported by intelligence agencies was quickly assembled and dispatched to the location. Through investigation and the collection of initial information, the attackers were identified and closely pursued, ultimately leading to their surrender to the Mansour Criminal Directorate.

The leadership has indicated that legal action will be pursued against the individuals involved, ensuring that justice is served in accordance with the law.
