Kirkuk: Kirkuk’s checkpoints department thwarted an attempt to smuggle three Pakistani nationals illegally after becoming suspicious of a vehicle whose driver tried to pass through a checkpoint.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the police command stated, “The driver attempted to evade inspection and force his way through, prompting the checkpoints to pursue him, surround the vehicle, and force it to stop before arresting him and all its passengers.”

They added, “A thorough search of the vehicle revealed three Pakistanis hidden inside the trunk, intended for smuggling.”
