Mosul: The head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, affirmed on Friday that the opening of al-Khasfa cemetery in Mosul is a step towards bringing justice to the victims and revealing the truth about ISIS’s crimes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Samarrai stated, “The opening of al-Khasfa cemetery in Mosul and the exhumation of the remains of thousands of victims represents a step towards bringing justice to the oppressed and revealing the truth about one of ISIS’s most heinous crimes, which targeted not one group but all Iraqis.”

He further emphasized, “The state has a responsibility to uncover the fate of the disappeared and compensate the families of the victims in a way that restores their rights and alleviates their suffering.”
