Babil: The Martyr Salam Shanan checkpoint arrested 12 foreign nationals of Pakistani and Syrian nationalities during daily inspections and checks of individuals. These individuals were found to be in violation of residency regulations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director, Brigadier General Adel al-Husseini, stated, “Today, Saturday, through the inspection of residency documents of several foreigners attempting to enter the city of Hillah via the Martyr Salam Shanan checkpoint, the police were able to arrest 12 foreign nationals who were in violation of residency regulations.”

He added that the police transferred the detainees to the relevant authorities for deportation.
