Babylon: The Babil branch of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate has entered into a collaboration with the Media Department at the College of Arts, University of Babylon, aimed at providing training to students in journalistic writing skills, investigative reporting, news writing, and professional ethics.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Youssef Abdul Aoun Al-Jamal, the head of the Babil branch, stated that a delegation from the University of Babylon's Media Department visited the syndicate's branch. During the visit, they discussed arrangements for implementing a training program that focuses on enhancing students' practical skills and providing them with real-world media experience.

Al-Jamal emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts between the Media Department and host media institutions to create a professional training environment. This initiative is designed to develop students' skills and prepare them for the media job market.

Dr. Zulfiqar Al-Mutairi, representing the College of Arts, highlighted the significance of field training as a core component of media education. He noted that students would engage in direct interactions with print, radio, and television journalism, providing them with valuable insights and experiences.

The training program includes lectures and workshops in journalistic editing, led by experienced journalists from the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. Additionally, practical training at Al-Shifa Radio will be provided, as an agreement has been made with its director, Ahmed Shabar, to facilitate this aspect of the program.

The summer training is scheduled to commence next week, with students set to be distributed among various media institutions, including Al-Iraqiya Satellite Channel, Babylon Radio, Al-Shifa Radio, and Sabah Babylon Newspaper.
