Babylon: Detachments at the Martyr Colonel Khalil Shalal checkpoint, affiliated with the Babylon Governorate Police Command, arrested a suspect wanted by the judiciary under Article 459 of the Penal Code. A three-year prison sentence was issued against him in absentia.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, Director of Media for the Babylon Police, stated, "The arrest took place during a security check at the Martyr Colonel Khalil Shalal checkpoint, where it was determined that the suspect was wanted by the judiciary and had been sentenced to prison in absentia."

He added that the police took the necessary legal measures against the suspect in preparation for his extradition to the requesting party.
