Baghdad: The Hilla-Najaf checkpoints, affiliated with the Babylon Police Command, arrested an accused wanted by one of the northern governorates on charges of premeditated murder in accordance with the provisions of Article (406) of the Penal Code.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of Media for Babylon Police, Brigadier General Adel Al-Hussaini, stated that the arrest occurred while the accused was trying to cross the checkpoint. During this process, the suspect raised suspicion, prompting authorities to verify his data. It was discovered that he was wanted in connection with a serious criminal case in a northern governorate.
Brigadier General Al-Hussaini further mentioned that the requesting party in the relevant governorate was contacted. They confirmed that the accused is considered one of the significant individuals wanted on charges of premeditated murder.
