Hillah: Detachments from the town’s Anti-Crime Division arrested a market robbery gang in downtown Hillah in a record time. Surveillance cameras captured two individuals riding a motorcycle smashing into a storefront and stealing 3,500,000 dinars and various denomination recharge cards.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babylon Police Media Director Major General Adel Al-Hussaini stated, “Investigations have proven that the perpetrators took advantage of the absence of the market owner and robbed the supermarket in Al-Khosriyah area, one of the districts of Hillah, on Sunday.”

He added, “Based on judicial orders in accordance with Article 443/Fifth of the Penal Code, a thorough arrest operation was carried out, resulting in the arrest of those involved and their proper apprehension. They confessed to committing the theft, and their statements were confirmed by the judiciary. They were referred to complete legal proceedings against them.”
