Babylon: Security forces in Babylon have uncovered a significant embezzlement involving 570 million dinars from a private bank. Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, the Director of Media for Babylon Police, revealed that an investigation was launched following a report from the bank. The comprehensive investigation involved scrutinizing surveillance footage, interviewing employees, and examining financial records, which ultimately led to the identification of the suspect who admitted to the crime.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suspect confessed to withdrawing the embezzled funds in separate installments. The security forces, working in collaboration with the judiciary, successfully gathered sufficient evidence to secure the suspect’s conviction and arrest. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts by Babylon Police to combat financial crimes in the region.
