Bafel Talabani discusses with Al-Sudani steps to form the new government and end the political blockage

Baghdad Bafel Jalal Talabani, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met in Baghdad with Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the candidate for Prime Minister.

A statement from the office of the Head of the Union stated, “During the meeting, the latest political developments and steps to form the new government and end the political blockage in Iraq were discussed, and the two sides stressed the unification of national efforts to form a strong and service government that would protect the rights of all.”

Talabani explained, “the vision of the Patriotic Union on governance and management of the country, saying: Our endeavors are for the success of the political process and better management,” adding, “We want the next government to serve the citizens more without discrimination and to confront corruption and injustice.” He called for the implementation of the constitutional rights of the Kurds and not to violate them, because we will not compromise the rights of our citizens.

For his part, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani praised “the role of the Union and the efforts of Bafel Jalal Talabani to end tension and differences, and said: We are happy that the approach of President Mam Jalal is still alive, and it is an approach that deepens the spirit of harmony and coexistence and makes dialogue and understanding a basis for solving problems.”
