Baghdad: Today, the “Baghdad International Theater Festival” launches in the capital city, under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The event will feature extensive Arab and international participation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the festival is set to take place across several venues, including the gardens of the Grand Celebrations Square, the Mansour and Rashid theaters, and the National Theater. The festival will run until October 16.
The opening ceremony will feature a red carpet reception for the attending guests and a performance of the Iraqi play “The Funeral of the Father.”
