Baghdad/Karkh Police: Four Arrested for Impersonating a Charity to Collect Donations

Baghdad: Karkh police units arrested four individuals accused of impersonating a charity to collect donations from citizens without official authorization.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Karkh Police Command stated in a press release: "The arrests were made after monitoring the suspects' movements. They were conducting their fraudulent activities to collect donations from citizens. Initial investigations revealed that they possessed no official authorization or legal standing to collect funds."

The statement added: "The necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspects, in preparation for referring them to the competent judicial authorities."
