Baghdad Mayor and Italian Ambassador Emphasize Expanding Partnership

Baghdad: Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim and Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Niccol² Fontana, highlighted the importance of expanding partnerships and strengthening relations during a meeting held on Sunday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Municipality issued a press release stating that Mayor Kadhim met with Ambassador Fontana to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in infrastructure, urban services, and investment. The meeting took place in the mayor's office and focused on mutual interests between Baghdad and Rome.

The statement emphasized the need to support the involvement of reputable Italian companies in service projects within Baghdad. Both sides agreed on proceeding with a memorandum of understanding between the Baghdad Municipality and the Municipality of Rome. This memorandum is intended to facilitate the exchange of expertise and strengthen institutional ties between the two capitals.
