Baghdad: Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim and Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Niccol² Fontana, emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships and strengthening institutional relations during a meeting held on Sunday.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Municipality stated in a press release that Mayor Kadhim met with Ambassador Fontana at his office to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the areas of infrastructure, urban services, and investment.
The statement highlighted that both sides stressed the importance of expanding the partnership between Baghdad and Rome, supporting the participation of reputable Italian companies in implementing service projects, and proceeding with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Baghdad Municipality and the Municipality of Rome.
This memorandum aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and strengthen institutional ties between the two capitals, as the statement added.
