Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command carried out an intensive security campaign today, Saturday, that included searching cafes in several areas of the capital, as part of the security plan for the month of Ramadan.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the campaign resulted in the arrest of 12 suspects, including drug dealers who were found with a quantity of crystal and drug devices in their possession, in addition to foreigners violating residency conditions.
The campaign targeted the areas of Al-Bayaa, Al-A’dhamiyah, New Baghdad, and Al-Bataween on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa. The operation involved the participation of the First Division of the Federal Police and the Baghdad Police Commands of Rusafa and Karkh, with the support of intelligence agencies and services.
