Baghdad Operations Command Arrests 18 Residency Violators in Karrada


Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested 18 violators of the terms and conditions of the Residency and Citizenship Department in the Karrada area, near Rusafa. The operation was part of a broader effort to enhance security and stability across the capital.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the security forces of the First Federal Police Division conducted a campaign focused on verifying the status of foreign workers in the designated areas. This operation was supported by intelligence agencies and coordinated with the Intelligence and Security Department of the command. During this campaign, 18 foreigners were apprehended for violating the terms and conditions set by the Residency and Citizenship Department, as they did not possess official documents or residency permits.



The operation aimed to reinforce regional inspection practices and ensure compliance with the legal frameworks governing residency in Baghdad. Those arrested have been handed over to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
