Baghdad Operations Command Arrests Suspected Terrorist in Southern Baghdad

Baghdad: A suspected terrorist was arrested south of Baghdad by a force from the Baghdad Operations Command, marking a significant operation involving multiple intelligence and security agencies.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Operations Command issued a statement detailing the capture. The operation was conducted by the Baghdad al-Karkh Emergency Regiment Seventh, which, in coordination with the Intelligence and Security Department of the Command and the support of other intelligence agencies, successfully located and apprehended the individual. The suspect was reportedly active in the Al-Dawanem area, south of Baghdad, and was wanted under Article 4/1 of Terrorism. Following the operation, the individual was handed over to the competent authorities for further action.

This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the Baghdad Operations Command to address terrorism-related activities within the region, ensuring the safety and security of the capital’s residents.
