Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a number of suspects, including those involved in drug trafficking and promotion, and others found in their possession of voter cards in both Karkh and Rusafa.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated that the detachments of the Baghdad Joint Operations Command continued to set up temporary "surprise" checkpoints. The operations led to the arrest of several suspects under various legal articles, including involvement in the trade and promotion of narcotics and unlicensed weapons. Additionally, five individuals were found possessing 268 voter cards, 49 MasterCard cards, 4 passports, and a drone without authorization.
In the course of these operations, unlicensed weapons and ammunition were seized. The authorities also confiscated a number of vehicles and motorcycles that were violating traffic regulations. These activities were conducted over the past 24 hours on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.
