Baghdad:The Baghdad Operations Command has announced the closure of three companies that violated environmental regulations, along with a food and dairy processing plant on the Karkh side of the city.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the committee formed under Diwani Order (241285) has been actively working to reduce environmental pollution caused by gas emissions and odors from production facilities. The committee, in collaboration with the National Security Service, Karkh Environmental Police, Baghdad Environment Directorate, municipal departments, and supported by the 2nd Federal Police Division, successfully closed three concrete casting companies. These companies were found to be breaching environmental guidelines and posing risks to public health and safety in the Albu Aitha /Al-Dora area on the Karkh side.

Additionally, units from the 17th Infantry Division, alongside Economic Security and Health Inspection detachments, closed a dairy processing plant. During this operation, food products deemed unfit for human consumption were seized and destroyed following official disposal procedures. This action was conducted in the East Radwaniyah area, southwest of Baghdad.
