Baghdad: Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi, Commander of Baghdad Operations, announced the success of the security plan drawn up to secure protection for the millions of people who flocked to commemorate the Rajab visit. He emphasized the effective execution of the plan over consecutive days with significant intelligence efforts and a strong commitment from the security services.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the security plan ensured the safety of millions who gathered to mark the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar Al-Kadhim in the holy city of Kadhimiya. The plan also covered all routes taken by the visitors throughout the capital. Lieutenant General Al-Tamimi expressed his gratitude to the security forces, including those from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Popular Mobilization Commission, and intelligence agencies, for their commendable efforts.
He also acknowledged the contributions of various ministries, processions, and visitors who collaborated with the security services. Additionally, he extended his thanks to satellite channels, media, and news agencies for their coverage of the event. Lieutenant General Al-Tamimi expressed appreciation to the residents of Baghdad Governorate, particularly those in Kadhimiya, for their cooperation and hospitality towards the mourning crowds.
