Baghdad Operations Commander Calls for Enhanced Security Measures in Rusafa

Baghdad:Major General Hadi Al-Kinani, Commander of Baghdad Operations, led an extensive security conference at the Baghdad Operations Command headquarters to discuss security strategies and measures for the Rusafa area of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including the Commander’s deputies for Defense and Interior Affairs, the Chief of Staff, directors of security and intelligence agencies, and commanders of security areas and police divisions. A number of staff officers from the Command were also present.

During the conference, the Commander of Baghdad’s Rusafa Police outlined the roles and responsibilities of the security forces, the deployment of units, measures implemented, and the main challenges and obstacles faced, along with strategies to overcome them.

Major General Al-Kinani praised the security forces for their cooperation and coordination with intelligence agencies, which have strengthened security and stability, reducing organized crime and armed tribal disputes in Rusafa. He emphasized the importance of completing operational and technical readiness, intensifying intelligence efforts, and activating internal security force formations. He also highlighted the need for ongoing proactive security operations, such as searches, inspections, establishing checkpoints, and conducting police patrols in residential areas.

He instructed the security forces to bolster cooperation with citizens, particularly community leaders like mukhtars, to maintain social peace. He urged firm action against anyone attempting to disrupt security in the areas under the Command’s jurisdiction.
