Baghdad: The Baghdad Police Directorate has apprehended four suspects for allegedly using drugs in public parks.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were made following a tip-off regarding a group of young individuals reportedly using drugs in public spaces near Rusafa, a district in Baghdad.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior detailed that a task force was swiftly assembled to address the situation. This specialized team included members from the New Baghdad Police Department, the Muthanna Police Station, and the Seventh Rusafa Emergency Regiment, working in collaboration with the occupying force. Upon arriving at the specified location, authorities detained four individuals found in possession of narcotic pills.
The suspects are being held under the provisions of Article 32 of the law as the necessary legal procedures are underway to address the charges against them.
