Baghdad:The Ministry of Oil has announced its readiness to host the largest energy and gas investment event, the “Baghdad International Energy Investment Forum,” scheduled for early 2027. The event will take place on January 20 and 21 under the slogan “Towards Optimal Investment in Oil and Gas.”

According to Iraqi News Agency, all logistical and technical preparations for the forum have been completed. The event will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and will see participation from energy ministers worldwide, along with heads of major international companies and specialized international organizations.

The forum aims to showcase the latest investment opportunities in Iraq’s oil and gas sectors, aligning with the national vision to establish Baghdad as a key player in regional and global energy markets. The organizing committee has extended invitations to energy and oil ministers, heads of international organizations, and business executives to create a platform for high-level dialogue. This initiative seeks to build sustainable international partnerships, attract technological solutions, and support infrastructure development to maximize the efficiency of national wealth investment.
