Wasit: Patrol officers from the Emergency Police Department successfully intercepted a balloon carrying a large quantity of narcotic pills south of Wasit Governorate. The officers discovered 110,400 Captagon pills, meticulously packaged in 138 bags, upon shooting down the blimp.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Wasit Police Chief, Major General Ahmed Abdul Zahra, emphasized the significance of this operation. He praised the vigilance of the security forces and their swift response following information received through the unified emergency number (911). The operation underscores the ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
