Baghdad:Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani stated that Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga are prepared to handle any potential threats.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Barzani expressed these sentiments during an event, emphasizing that the Global Coalition forces were instrumental in supporting both the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region.

He acknowledged the contributions of the United States and its allies in the fight against ISIS, which included bolstering the Peshmerga forces’ capabilities and ensuring the safety of both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Barzani clarified that while the mission of the coalition forces has concluded, the relationships with these countries will continue, albeit on a different trajectory. He assured that Iraqi forces and the Peshmerga remain fully equipped to address any future challenges that may arise in the Kurdistan Region.
