Erbil: The President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, has declared that no constitutional steps will be taken until the issues concerning the presidencies and prime ministerships are resolved simultaneously. Barzani made this announcement today, emphasizing a coordinated approach to political appointments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani expressed his views on the (X) platform, highlighting discontent with the current political process. He remarked that the insistence of certain parties within the Coordination Framework to proceed with the election of the President of the Republic, while delaying the nomination for Prime Minister, is unacceptable.

Barzani further stressed the necessity of resolving these issues in a manner that ensures the presence and participation of all parties in the forthcoming session of the Council of Representatives. His statement underscores the importance of unity and inclusivity in the decision-making process, aiming to prevent any unilateral actions that could disrupt political harmony.
