Basra: The Basra International Airport administration has clarified that a fire incident occurred outside the passenger terminal, involving items belonging to one of the companies operating within the airport premises.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the airport administration released a press statement indicating that the fire department managed to control and completely extinguish the fire without any injuries reported. The statement emphasized that the fire did not affect any of the airport facilities.

The administration further confirmed that the situation at the airport remains normal and secure. Passenger and flight traffic continue to operate smoothly, with no delays or impacts on flight schedules or operational procedures.
