Basra: The head of the Basra Provincial Council, Khalaf al-Badran, met with Amir Kishani, head of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, to explore avenues for enhancing trade and fostering investment partnerships between Basra and Isfahan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included a delegation of provincial council members and focused on drafting a joint memorandum of understanding aimed at boosting cooperation in critical sectors. The memorandum seeks to revitalize the tourism sector, encompassing both medical and recreational tourism, and to utilize Isfahan’s industrial expertise to support Basra’s infrastructure and market demands for construction materials.

Both parties highlighted the need to activate joint follow-up committees to ensure the swift implementation of the memorandum’s provisions. This move is intended to secure mutual economic and developmental benefits for both provinces.
