Baghdad: The Director of Civil Defense in Basra, Brigadier General Mazen Mohammed, has made an appeal to the owners of Husseini processions to ensure the presence of fire extinguishers within their service tents. This call is intended as a precautionary step in response to the rising temperatures in the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting at the Shalamja border crossing, Brigadier General Mohammed elaborated on the measures being taken by the Civil Defense Directorate. The directorate has deployed specialized fire trucks, which are under the command of officers, as part of a strategic plan to bolster the efforts of other departments in the region. Additionally, personnel from the Training and Development Department have been actively involved in conducting awareness campaigns focused on first aid and public safety.

Brigadier General Mohammed emphasized the importance of all parties involved in the plan adhering to preventive measures and ensuring the availability of safety equipment. This initiative aims to mitigate the risk of accidents during the processions.
