Basra: Assistant Governor of Basra for Agriculture Departments, Hassan Zahir Al-Najjar, convened a significant meeting with international and local organizations at the Governorate Diwan. The gathering aimed to address and advance the agricultural conditions in the Basra governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved discussions with several international and local entities, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The focus was on creating a coordinated approach between the local government and these organizations to improve agricultural outcomes in the region. The discussions also covered the working mechanisms of the various organizations and emphasized the importance of prioritizing agricultural projects with an equitable geographical distribution throughout Basra Governorate.
