Basra: The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, received Lieutenant General Saad Oraibi, the former Basra Operations Commander, and Major General Atheer Al-Rubaie, the new commander, at the governorate headquarters, in the presence of several security leaders from the province. The meeting marked the official handover of command of Basra Operations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, Governor Al-Eidani extended his congratulations to Major General Al-Rubaie on his new appointment and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Lieutenant General Oraibi during his tenure. The governor stressed the significance of ongoing cooperation between the security agencies and the local government to ensure the maintenance of security and stability in Basra. He highlighted the need for enhanced protection of citizens and property in the province.
