Basra The Basra Operations Command carried out an inspection campaign today, Thursday, which resulted in the arrest of a number of wanted persons and the confiscation of unlicensed weapons in the north of the province.

A source in the leadership stated to the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) that forces from the leadership and the units attached to it, with the participation of the army, a force from the emergency regiments of the Basra Police Command, K9 detachments, traffic detachments, drug control, security and intelligence agencies, with a force from the popular Mobilization and a detachment of drones, with direct and field supervision by the Commander of Basra Operations, Major General Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Majidi, a raid and search campaign was carried out today to search for wanted persons and weapons in areas north of Basra, which resulted in the arrest of a number of wanted persons according to various legal and criminal articles, and the confiscation of unlicensed weapons and equipment.
