Basra Police Arrest Suspects, Seize Narcotics in Security Operations

Basra: Basra Police arrested a number of suspects and seized narcotics in their possession.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Basra Police Command stated in a statement that detachments from the Rescue and Patrols Department in Basra conducted separate security operations leading to the arrest of several suspects. Some of these individuals were found with narcotics, while others had an unlicensed pistol.

Basra Police Commander, Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Saad, emphasized that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and combat crime in the governorate. He stressed the importance of continuing strict security campaigns to target those who threaten community safety and ensure a secure environment for citizens.

The necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects, and they were referred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
