Basra: Basra Police Command announced on Saturday that security operations led to breaking up a brawl and arresting those involved, in addition to seizing the weapon used.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command stated that emergency police units carried out targeted raids that also resulted in the arrest of several suspects on charges of drug trafficking and abuse, as well as the seizure of unlicensed weapons in their possession.
Basra Police Chief, Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Sa’d, emphasized that the security forces will not tolerate any attempt to undermine the safety of citizens. He affirmed that drug dealers, troublemakers, and holders of unlicensed weapons will face the law with full force, and that the security of the province is a red line that cannot be crossed.
