Basra: The head of the Security Committee in Basra Provincial Council, Aqeel Talib Al-Furaiji, recently met with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, to discuss strengthening cooperation between Basra and Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Furaiji received Ambassador Inan on Monday, where they explored several significant topics aimed at bolstering collaboration between Basra’s local government and Turkey. The meeting underscored a mutual interest in deepening ties and enhancing strategic cooperation across various sectors.

The Turkish Ambassador also expressed his appreciation for the current level of security and stability in Basra Governorate, highlighting it as a positive backdrop for fostering closer relations and executing cooperative initiatives.
