Baghdad US President Joe Biden held the producing countries responsible for the rise in oil prices, because they did not do what was necessary to increase production, noting: “The United States will resort to strategic reserves as India, Japan and Britain will do.”

Biden said in a press conference: “Recourse to the strategic reserve will not solve the problem of oil prices quickly.”

He added, “Gasoline prices have risen painfully in the United States, Europe and Asia, and it represents a global problem.”

The US President continued that the price hike usually declines over time, but this does not mean that we must stand idly by and wait for prices to fall on their own.”
