New york: US meteorologists have predicted that approximately 40 states will be affected by a severe cold wave accompanied by a winter storm, beginning today, Saturday, and continuing throughout the weekend.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, meteorologists stated that the storm could cause heavy snowfall and freezing rain, potentially leading to disruptions in transportation, particularly in major cities such as Washington, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston.
The National Weather Service announced that approximately 160 million people are under weather warnings, with the storm’s effects extending from Arizona and Montana in the west to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maine in the east. New York Governor Kathy Hawkell declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the storm, while residents braced for an icy wave that could damage trees and power lines and cause potential power outages.
