Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command has refuted claims circulating on social media about the disappearance of eight young men in the Tarmiyah area. The statement clarified that the individuals in question were suspects who had been arrested, not missing persons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command issued a statement addressing the reports that had gained traction on various platforms. It explained that three suspects were apprehended based on judicial arrest warrants and have since been handed over to the relevant authorities to undergo legal proceedings.

The statement further clarified that two of the arrested individuals hail from Babil Governorate while the third is from Baghdad. This directly contradicts the narrative being shared on media platforms, which suggested the men had vanished under mysterious circumstances.
